About Us

The Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) serves as the economic development agency for Erie County. The ECIDA is a public benefit corporation sanctioned in 1970 by the New York State Legislature to administer tax incentives and other tools for economic growth and job creation for businesses located in Erie County. The ECIDA is not part of Erie County or New York State government, and does not receive any State, Federal or local tax revenue for its operations.
