This role ensures that all work completed by our installation teams meets company quality standards, adheres to local and state plumbing codes, and is executed efficiently and safely.

The Big Task

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of plumbing experience, a strong understanding of plumbing systems and codes, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. While this position does not include direct supervisory responsibility over employees, the Field Supervisor will play a key leadership role in coordinating field activities, verifying installation quality, and supporting the Production and Installation Supervisor to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Tasks

  • Oversee all plumbing installation jobs to ensure work meets company standards, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between the Production and Installation Supervisor and install crews.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect ongoing work for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Review job details, blueprints, and scope of work prior to project start to ensure full understanding of expectations.
  • Verify materials, equipment, and resources are available and properly utilized at job sites.
  • Identify and troubleshoot field issues, providing timely solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Monitor project timelines and communicate progress or delays to the Production and Installation Supervisor.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to installation teams when needed.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, including installation checklists, inspection reports, and field notes.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Support the Production and Installation Supervisor in continuous improvement efforts and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 7 – 10 years of plumbing experience, including experience overseeing or inspecting installation projects.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in plumbing preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License (required).
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of plumbing systems, installation procedures, and applicable plumbing codes (IPC, UPC, or local equivalents).
  • Familiarity with residential and/or commercial plumbing installations.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with field crews and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make field decisions confidently.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at various job sites and in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, or climb for extended periods.
